First of all the very best to all of you. yeah i’m somewhat late and this blog isn’t very vivid but i’ll try to re animate it and at least pump some blood in it from time to time. Like every year, anyone pretending to have some taste in music published their favourite songs of the year. And most of the lists, like pitchforks have their point, I get bored by most of the artists and songs. I’ll probably always stay the one searching for anything what feels and sounds different. This is what drives me about music and of cause brings always differences with (former) co-workers in major labels. Its for me much more about creativity than about the music itself. It might be a bad thing from an audiophile perspective, but the search for creativity seems to be much more important to me.
So, to bring at least something up what is my opinion one of the most interesting acts this year ar Project Jenny Project Jan. There experimental attitude and sound ideas around electronic music really got my ear, but well, it might never stimulate yours.

Nous Non Plus, a french electronica band did nice paris hilton sproof. It’s titled - of cause - one night in Paris. Kinda creative stuff, even so they might have come up with it a bit earlier than 3 years after Paris’ “famous” vid.

Yeah, I’m a bit lazy in blogging through the last days. Got quite demanding challanges in real life going on so… keep relaxing with a bit of Liberace for the weekend.
I’m quite hooked up with all this 50-70th Vegas show stuff. I’m way to young to have much of a clue about it, so I’m just watching, listening and learning. So happy right now having found the only original film recording of a rat pack show, like they did it in the good old days. If you’re into stuff like this and haven heard about “the frank sinatra spectacular” yet, get it! It’s definalty worth it. Have a good weekend!

Tim Michin is a really unique character. A very special kind of appearance and his songs have a real message, not just some flower power plastic rhymes. So since this song even scratches the music industry topic, I thought this might be a good one for our lovley little blog up here.

Most of the time new pop acts are more than boring. But at least sometimes sometimes an artists brings it to a new direction. In this case it might be not totally new, in fact it is a kind of retro 90th superstar homage. If you liked the good old Quincy Jones stuff, this german pop glam might be your choice.

Kinda funny, Reuters brought a story on a few presidential candidates’ campain songs.(You can vote for Hillary’s on youtube… whatever) I always love it when two subjects I like in this case marketing through music emotions and political marketing hit together.
So by googeling around I came up with a few more campaign songs. It’s actually not that easy to find (former) candidate theme songs. Would be cool to collect them all. Maybe I’m gonna write something on it later.

Ahhh, again something worth watching. Oi Va Voi are a music band from London and melting experimental electronical sound with jewish traditional music. Most other songs they have are with a female voice on the lead vocals. Unfortunately this takes away the rough and driving caracter of the music and drives it to a (way to much) dreamy direction.

And yes, finally again a music video worth watching it. Fujiya & Miyagi are a british electronica band signed with Groenland Records. Their video is done only with different dices with really great animations and a cool use of these objects. Haven’t seen something like this for a quite while…

Uhm, I don’t know what to say about this. It is a nice idea of collaboration and making Phil Collins hip in the hood but it is still such a very odd setup. Sometimes it might make sence to stay within the style one has established.
